About Katt's Stuff

Hi, I'm Katherine Thomas — but most people call me Katt.

Katt's Stuff is a collection built over a lifetime of curiosity, travel, and family. Growing up in Tehachapi, California, I made the four-hour drive down to San Diego nearly every weekend — back in the days of the 55 mph speed limit, when the journey was half the adventure — to visit my siblings. All five of my sisters and my brother have always been there for me throughout my lifetime, and those weekends together were some of the best of my life.

Those trips became treasure hunts — flea markets, antique shops, and little shell boutiques tucked along the way. That's where much of my shell jewelry collection was born, piece by piece, weekend by weekend.

Not every find came from San Diego. Some came from the most unexpected places — like the Bakersfield Airport in 1987, where I picked up a shell necklace on my way to Canada to serve as Maid of Honor at my best friend's wedding.

Alongside my own travels, I'm also sharing pieces from my parents' carefully curated collection of vintage jewelry and collectibles. After losing them in 2009 and 2010, I became the keeper of their treasures. Now, as I look toward retirement, I'm ready to pass these pieces on to people who will love them as much as we did.

Every item in this shop is one of a kind — because the stories behind them are too.

Thank you for being here.
